Let’s Build Something Together

LumX Sports Lighting designs complete lighting solutions. Whether you’re upgrading an existing field or starting from the ground up, our team will guide you from consultation to installation.

What lighting levels do LumX LED systems provide?

LumX LED sports lighting systems are engineered to meet recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional lighting standards. Typical illumination levels range from 30–50 foot-candles for community fields and up to 100+ foot-candles for televised or competitive venues. Each system is precision-designed to meet IES and league specifications for optimal visibility and player performance.

Can LumX lighting meet regulations for multiple sports?

Yes. LumX designs can be tailored to IES, NCAA, NFHS, and league standards across multiple sports — including football, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, and more. Our engineers customize optics and mounting layouts to ensure every field meets the required illumination uniformity and safety standards.

How does LumX control glare and light spill?

Our fixtures feature advanced LED optics and precision beam angles that focus light exactly where it’s needed — on the playing surface. This minimizes glare for players, reduces light spill beyond the field, and helps maintain compliance with local light pollution ordinances. Optional visor systems and beam-shaping lenses further refine performance for urban or residential environments.

Do LumX LED systems turn on instantly?

Yes. Unlike traditional metal halide lighting, LumX LEDs deliver instant illumination with zero warm-up time. Systems also support dimming, scheduling, and smart control options such as DMX, DALI, and Synapse, allowing operators to manage brightness and energy use with precision.

Can LumX lights retrofit onto existing poles?

In most cases, yes. LumX LED systems can be retrofitted onto existing poles and electrical infrastructure, reducing installation time and cost. Our team evaluates pole height, spacing, and structural integrity to ensure optimal light coverage and compliance with safety requirements.
